Classification of explosion-proof motor grades

Class I: Electrical equipment for underground coal mines;

Class II: All electrical equipment for explosive gas atmospheres except in coal mines and underground areas.

Class II can be further divided into Class IIA, IIB and IIC. Equipment marked as IIB can be used under the same conditions as IIA equipment. ⅡC can be applied to the usage conditions of ⅡA and ⅡB.

Note: The ⅡC mark is yes, but it does not indicate that the device has good performance.

High surface temperature: The highest temperature that any component of an electrical device may reach when operating under the most unfavorable conditions within the specified range, which could cause the surrounding explosive environment to ignite. The high surface temperature should be lower than the flammable temperature.
